SANTO DOMINGO (AccessDR) -- The Cisneros Real Estate Group is the developer of the luxury 169-room Four Seasons Hotel.
The US$300 million project will also feature 40 villas and a golf course.
The Four Seasons Tropicalia is scheduled to open in 2018 in Costa Esmeralda, in the northeast town of Miches, situated some 50 minutes from Punta Cana’s international airport. Miches is a coastal community, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, founded in 1808.
Gustavo Cisneros, Chairman of the Board of the Cisneros Group, gave full details regarding the construction of the luxury hotel which will be part of an overall low-density and environmentally friendly project.
Ricardo Suarez, Development Vice President for the Americas for the Four Seasons hotel chain, said the Dominican Republic is an excellent destination to attract luxury tourism.
The project is funded by the State-run “Banco de Reservas” bank. President Danilo Medina, as well as the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garcia, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
