Air Europa Will Use A Boeing 787 In Madrid-Santo Domingo Route

SANTO DOMINGO (AccessDR) -- Air Europa, a member of the Spanish-based Globalia Group, will use a Boeing 787 in its popular daily route between Santo Domingo-Madrid.

This aircraft is one of the three modern and efficient aircrafts that the airline will begin to use this year.

Globalia Group’s Caribbean regional director, Francisco J. Perez Menendez, said that the first three aircrafts will cover the Miami, Bogota and Santo Domingo routes.

He explained that “the aircraft has a capacity for 300 passengers and a flight range of 15,000 kilometers.”

Perez Menendez also announced the introduction of “SUM,” Air Europa’s loyalty card, and explained that “one of the main features of the card will be the accumulation of miles that can be used in hotels, car rental companies, gasoline stations, supermarkets and other commercial establishments”.

The miles can also be redeemed for Air Europe airline tickets and its Skyteam partners.

He also announced the start of the Madrid-Zurich route in June 2016, with two daily flights between Santo Domingo and Madrid.
