SANTO DOMINGO (AccessDR) -- “Rincon Beach,” situated in the northeast province of Samana, currently occupies the 20th position on the list of the world’s 50 most beautiful beaches in the world.
The list, prepared by the Condé Nast Traveler magazine, says the following regarding this tropical paradise: “Surrounded by palm trees, with crystal clear waters, and virtually deserted, the beach is the personification of the Caribbean in its purest form.”
The beach is situated near the oceanfront community of “Las Galeras,” on the eastern end of the bay.
Access to the beach is now possible through a recently paved road, which runs through the beautiful and very tropical Dominican countryside. An important attraction is that guests staying in nearby hotels can also access the beach on board safe and modern fast boats.
On the beach there are small local restaurants that serve fresh seafood, and other popular Dominican dishes. Many of the dishes use coconut milk, a traditional condiment used widely in this part of the country.
In the “Las Galeras” area there are small hotels offering very good service, at very reasonable prices. For those that prefer the all-inclusive resorts, there are two excellent options: the Grand Paradise Samana and the Select at Grand Paradise Samana.
The 80-room Select features a Club COOEE, with lounge/bar, a terrace bar, a swimming pool, and an exclusive beachfront area surrounded literally by a forest of coconut trees.
The hotel’s Asia Restaurant is an excellent option for lovers of Asian cuisine.
This is the country’s first Club COOEE, which is the final product of the recent alliance between Amhsa Marina and DER Touristik, the second largest tour operator in Germany. The Club caters to the needs and desires of the demanding international tourist.
